RDC - 11 TO 3 - MOYA GIVING EVIDENCE

Post by TrueBlueTerrier »

I think I heard her say at 11:21 at link that she will reduce district offices from 11 to 3 http://www.parliamentlive.tv/Main/Playe ... ingId=6960" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Does she mean RDC.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

She called World Class Mail a huge tool although she may have meant the guy who came up with the idea.

Just read it, 11 down to 3 by the end of next year, as they have delayed the announcements until January, its not giving us much time to plan.

Funny thing was I agreed with him they should have been able to give evidence separately as the have different views and represent different staff levels and interests.

But and if your looking in Billy I am sorry, but you ramble quite a lot and it can be embarrassing, you had to ask one questioner to repeat his question because you had gone off at a tangent. You seem to think of a new point half way through the one your making and then jump to that. It makes you seem disjointed and unsure.

Yet I have heard you make a few speeches and when they are prepared they can be very good, as an orator you are, imho, very good. As a debater I think you need a bit more polish and training.

I personally think Unite and the CWU should bury the hatchet and start working together, Unite represents mainly first and second line managers, who are also facing the same problems if an office closes as front line staff,

Yes some front line managers are bullies and incompetent but other good front line managers who want to have a better working place for all are tarnished with the same brush.

They has been for too long a them and us culture, I know previous actions have not helped, but i think now is the time to start moving forward, If they had a joint compaign and the unite supported the CWU with an all out strike or other measures it would make the business take notice.

Regards

Told ya , they will cut down the RDCs into super centres, the only thing I was wrong on was the time scale, I thought 5 years.

She actually said 'district offices'. There are currently 11 RM regions and she also mentioned 'by the end of next year' which is when all the admin changes should have taken place.

Highly unlikely that RDCs could be cut to only 3 and certainly not within 12 months so I'm sure she was talking about the Regions.
