Worst day I've ever had, had to book an hour and a half. Mail was pouring out of the fitting by the time I'd finished the prep that no-one could be bothered to do. Had magazines, uber mega prize draw winners, silly shiny things, mega-catalogues, what-nots. You name it I had it. Didn't get out till 10.35am and didn't finish till 2.55pm. Then had a load of parcels and write-offs to endorse, finished at 3.20pm. Wasn't very happy to say the least. Apparently yesterday was very light. Suspiciously light, one might say, lighter even than light Tuesdays, but those mail centres I'm sure are angelic.

Went into work this morning to see all my mates :Very Happy and to ask LM to get onto ATOS now I've had my knee op. I've still got another 4 weeks left on my sick note but I'm soooooooo bored and was thinking about going back a bit earlier. Wish I had'nt gone in now, I was only walking around for an hour today and my leg is totally fooked and swollen up.......not happy but I guess its only been a week since the operation.
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

Took about 5 hours with the lapsing. Another team brief about the changes, they have put the revision back a week, info about the payments etc. Very busy all round and I'm shattered.

Horrendous. Heaviest day in about a year, started at 10:20, finished at 2:50. Wrote out FIFTEEN P739 cards! Ebayer's day out i think! The only positive was that it didn't rain.

You and I seem to have shared very similar days. The f/t'er chucking out my walk didn't bother with the last few bundles so the moment I walked in, had to do them. Then I got to the missorts - every frame was heaving with them so that was another half hour to go with the twenty mins I'd already taken doing the others. Then I had a pile of stupid JTF booklets under my fitting that had to be done as well, and the particular walk I was on gets about 250 of them. So once I'd done that, the packets, the write-offs, the redirections, it was about twenty past ten. Had to bag up, then a driver had to be found to take my bags out. Unfortunately, that was about as good as my day got. Had to split what would usually be one bag into three, cue lots of mongoloids telling me 'you're late today'.

Oh, how witty of you. How delightfully, tantalisingly, tongue ticklingly witty. If only there was a curse brazen enough to suit their kind. Of course I'm late but it's SOMEBODY ELSE'S FAULT. As usual.

Plus, I just saw a post by somebody I know. I didn't know I knew them before I saw the post, but now that I know them by both their real-life name and their internet alter-ego, it feels somewhat strange. It's disconcerting. I hope they don't know who I am.

Finished at 2.30pm. Not a bad day. Advised about 10 parcels. Shouted at by a woman in one of the shops telling me to close the door because her little sh1t of a dog was about to get out. From now on i'll be using her letterbox, forget about personally handing it to her.

Since I stopped using my car half a year ago i've felt so much better. Not as stressed, my pay packet has never been so good. And watching my superiors try to sort out a driver to take me out is great. The other day my DOM said "if I take you out, will you work your day off." Haha! And if I don't work my day off?
The day is gonna come when we’re all gonna have to testify.

Not too bad.... its much heavier on Saturdays than a few years ago where if I finished after 11am it was 'well heavy' Saturday. Posted my last letter at 11.57am which is around half an hour earlier than normal.

Notable points.... 3 customers said nice nice things too me with no crappy customers in return! other than the one with the re-delivery packet who wondered why taking 10 minutes to come to the door was an issue.

Why can't all customers be like the one at 24? no matter how many flights of stairs I have to climb its always a pleasure to deliver to her! unlike, 16.....the b'stards!

About 3 and a half hours today. Couldn't be arsed rushing, getting a bit old for that every day. Pouched a couple of items off, 1 of which the bloke could have had delivered to his business address (on a different round), seen as it WAS business related. Ah well, his customer will have to wait until Tuesday at the earliest now.

Another sh*t mother frakking day. My walk has been battered the last two days, with me going to every house on every street for half of the walk on Friday, then the other half today. We've been getting these silly letters coming through, I think they've got pens in them or something, and every single house has been getting one. I've no idea what they are but they've got a big 'sky' tag on the front. Suffice it to say they are a bugger. They're impossible to incorporate into normal bundles because the pen/whatever, fattens them out to thrice the size of a normal letter. Thus you have three bundles to every normal one. This has meant a bundle, on average, to every eight houses. One street yesterday had thirteen bundles, a street of just 80 houses or so was ten/eleven bundles today (I usually do it in one bag, a light bag, today it was two annoyingly above average bags). Now, obviously, this is our job. But, if people think that a postman is someone to throw impractical pieces of rubbish at and say 'go on, boy, deliver that' then they are taking the piss.

But then, nobody gives a frakkety frak frak. Does anyone else like Battlestar Galactica?

The odd thing is, I booked time yesterday. Didn't need to book any today . Must have found an extra gear from somewhere, but all I remember is feeling as lethargic as possible.
