Our office spent hundreds of thousands on re-organising all the walks. 3 weeks ago we the posties with help from our cwu rep have now been told to fix it' and make it work - guess what we are practically going back to the way we were before geo-route/peguses or whatever its called sat nav'd our office.
RM it doesn't work and it costs a lot of money.

The revisions which are taking place up and down the country are failing isnt it about time Royal Mail waved its white flag !! And isnt it about time the CWU put a stop to the blatant disregard for its members health and safety!!!

i totally agree with you, my office implemented the 2010 agreement this week 8th november,, and its a complete joke.. all van deliveries where still out at 4 p.m... its not working, the whole office is totally stressed to hell.......

Hi bobla,you must be working in my office.got back at 3.35 and all the cdv dutis were still not back and half the hcts still out.hey but were getting a bonus on friday for the new revision.OH NO.hold on,just been told this morning theres been a cock up and were not getting the £800 this week.Cant wait till they stop all the the extra hours there paying for staff to come in early on ips.then the poo will rearly hit the fan.my necks strained from looking at the overheads on ips.god i hate it.GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.Oh and the gaffers think its working great.

the biggest problem is,that so many posties use their cars on delivery.this saves RM millions every year.unfortunately,RM dont factor this into the revision.they see these posties getting finished early,so they think there are loads of savings to be made.wrong!!!!!!!.i know its been said before,but using cars on delivery,has ruined our job.shared vans is the future,it creates a level playing field.just make deliveries manageable.

Have any offices actually reverted back to the old way of being out on your own with the bag on your back after P & L has come in (& failed) or have people been forced to carry on regardless van-sharing with HCT etc?

Started in the Barnsley office on Monday.Four days in and its a disaster.
Dutys so big they are impossible to compleate.
Piles of mail left and brought back.
Mangers from all over the region shipped in to throw out dutys,deliver mail etc.

Cant wait for the xmas pressure to start

Well we went live 8th nov, 4 days in and office is, wait for it yep total disarray, mail left in , brought back, hardly any parcels deliver'd, mail left on ips boards, managers drafted in from god knows where ,to take mail out, half of office this morning didn't get any sequenced mail cos machines went down in sheffield, PAID overtime galore for those that want it, line managers trying to persuade us to take it all ( bless 'em ). Anyway there's no enforced overtime tell yer line manager what your intentions are regarding delivery, return to office 20mins to unload, log off van etc to finnish on time, yes do it all with a smile it really does confuse 'em.

we started this P & L on 1st Nov and we have managers from all over sorting mail, throwing in walks,etc
This week the bullying has started in earnest, managers watching everyone with clipboards; asking you to take everything out every day, even though we keep telling them that the walks are impossible to complete and take back loads of mail; I have had countless 'discussions' with managers who don't have a clue and just bark orders, when I know and they do that 'it just aint working!!!!'
Posties are totally stressed out and are starting to go off sick,
If they continue with this new system in the Xmas period I will be amazed as it is a total disaster!

What happens when someone goes off sick on a van share? Our dom says he'll deal with it when it happens but I still would like to know what the plan of action will be. Does it become a van solo and an 8 hour delivery? Anyone know?
