We pre-ordered Gears of War 2 from Amazon for my GF boy as we were told it would be sold out for weeks in the shops. We paid £39.99 and £7 special del. It did turn up the day it was released(good old RM :Very Happy ) but there was plenty in Sainsby and Asda at £34.99 on the same day :d'oh!

Another great day in the best job in the world. The sun shone on me all day and I was able to wear a t-shirt even though it was cold. Harry Potter turned up and placed a feather spell on each of my bags so I wasn't carrying any weight. Every letter was in exactly the right place and all the customers were really nice. The manager told me I could finish whenever I wanted to because the manager is a jolly nice chap. All the managers had a meeting in the morning and decided we would not be absorbing ever because the workload was already sufficient for nice blokes like us. I was also invited in for hot steamy sex with a supermodel who was staying over at a council house just for the sake of the experience - on further examination it was revealed that this was her equivalent of staying in a haunted house to acquire her inheritance. When all was said and done I skipped home in wistful recollection of my brilliant day, reminding myself that tomorrow was another fantastically wonderful day at the super fantabulous land of magic and fairytales that is ROYAL MAIL.

YAY.

Would have been a really nice day if I hadn't had to wait an hour and ten minutes for my bag drops  the driver had a ding dong with the manager so was probably on a 'go slow'.

Apart from that although it was fairly heavy the sun shone and I saw very few customers definitely one of the better days!

Shitty day all round. Didn't get the mail from the mail centre till 05.30, then it had to be walk sequenced. Went for break at 08.30 and came down to 3 boxes of sequenced mail plus the stuff I hadn't thrown off. Out late, finished late and will be booking. Remember that well used phrase folks.... It's working.. :hmmmm

Fairly heavy (the Xmas Catalogues are kicking in big style) but finished pretty much on time (about 1500) - however like a (24 hrs/wk) fool (that needs the money) I'd offered my body for some o/t - ended up in an unknown part of town, with flats where the "trade entry" button switches off at about 1000 (ended up buzzing random residents saying "It's your late afternoon postie - honest !!" - and they believed me ...) Finshed about 1700 (!) ... so am sticking one of these on my birthday (1st December) list - might be useful come Xmas ...

Woke up this morning, got dressed, then remembered it's my day off! Bloody stupid rota. I spent all yesterday evening thinking I was at work. I had to text someone at our D.O. to make 100% sure though.

Happy day! :Very Happy :Very Happy :Very Happy

Delivered a letter today - not to be opened until 15/12 2010.
You lot and your scare stories..........
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.
