A deafening silence on the RDC talks

Anyone know what's happening with talks on possible RDC closures ?

We were told the CWU and RM started discussions in October, yet nothing has come out and rumours are rife. The wording in the 2010 agreement is a bit worrying, saying
This will result in a significant reduction in the number of RDCs over next three years through mergers or new builds.
We've heard a rumour - probably well wide of the mark - that RM cocked-up on securing the warehouse site in Hemel Hempstead, that the lease wasn't signed and ASDA have taken it instead

If they started discussions in October it'll be like the talks last year just another 3 months to go and am sure you'll find out....

Don't take it as fact, but I have heard of plan to shut down Warrington RDCs amongst many and relocate to Leeds, sometime some rumors can a grain of truth in them, so this could apply to others, hence the silence, as it is very controversial.

I've just been told by my line manager expect an announcement in January, as they do not want to spoil our xmas.
