Re: revision gone wrong
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Exactly, so long as the travel, delivery and MR combined do not take longer than duty time, then in theroy the issue is prep time.
If a delivery duty has a spare hour then logic demands that you cant use all that time on delivery as you wont have time then for the extra prep, allwoance for prep must be made when filling out any spare time real or imagined.
Logic only demands that someone does this extra prep.

Yes they resigned cos of the revision 1 part time 1 full time, the full timer had 20 years under his belt.NWpostie wrote:Leaving the rest of us to take up the even heavier burden, its a race to the bottom and its going to crash badly when it goes nationwide.ihatedogs wrote:Have they resigned purely because of the revision? Letters can just get delivered by 2.30 pm on most walks but that is leaving tracked reggies and all packets!!! We have people in from all over Leeds and the office cannot get cleared, oh and our £600 bonus due to be paid today wasnt in our wage packet!
Good lad as well the walks are immense and when RM stop paying ot we will implode! If you live in LS6/7 dont order your prezzies on line cos you probably wont get them at xmas!

That`s really sh*t mate. they should have just worked their 8 hours and left the gaffer to sort out the mess.Who`s your gaffer these days?bahtatter wrote:Yes they resigned cos of the revision 1 part time 1 full time, the full timer had 20 years under his belt.NWpostie wrote:Leaving the rest of us to take up the even heavier burden, its a race to the bottom and its going to crash badly when it goes nationwide.ihatedogs wrote:Have they resigned purely because of the revision? Re: revision gone wrong
Well went live today, mail, parcels, missorts and d2d left, looking at it , it was pretty much quiet mail wise yet no one was back on time so all who cried i'm cutting off stopped out by the look of it, wonder what they'll cry rest of week when it becomes busier,. oh and by magic d.o.m's found some spare cash to pay people overtime if they stop out and clear up for him. There isn't a lot of backbone in our office but i realy thought this time they'd make a stand afterall they know the park n loops are too big, anyway we'll all be loopy by end of week

Re: revision gone wrong
i've heard something very similar from a manager in your neck of the woods, seems they have completely mis-judged the number of attendance calls, due to the high student influx in your area.bahtatter wrote:We have had posties from all over leeds coming to sheepscar on sundays getting 4hrs ot and doing naff all a few packets, rumour has it that our office may revert back cos of the amount of packets we receive compared to other offices, result!!!leedsgaz wrote:At my office we've been offered o/t on sundays to goto sheepscar and deliver the packets and specials and help clear the backlog, god help us when LS13 and LS28 go live in the next few weeks.... anyone get the feeling the revisons are a piss take and that someone didnt think this through properly??
Could you give us any more detail on your revision?..when we had geo-route,we went from roughly 450/475 calls to around 700,what exactly has been agreed/implemented.

Re: revision gone wrong
1400/1500 calls in LS6 which can just be done without anything to slow you down ie packets, tracked , reggies. Most of us get back about 2.20 pm, been told mail is the priority and to leave packets.robd wrote:i've heard something very similar from a manager in your neck of the woods, seems they have completely mis-judged the number of attendance calls, due to the high student influx in your area.bahtatter wrote:We have had posties from all over leeds coming to sheepscar on sundays getting 4hrs ot and doing naff all a few packets, rumour has it that our office may revert back cos of the amount of packets we receive compared to other offices, result!!!leedsgaz wrote:At my office we've been offered o/t on sundays to goto sheepscar and deliver the packets and specials and help clear the backlog, god help us when LS13 and LS28 go live in the next few weeks.... anyone get the feeling the revisons are a piss take and that someone didnt think this through properly??

Talking to the planner today she couldnt believe the amount of packets we get when the students come back and that hasnt been factored in! Plus the model is based on some summer week when mail is quiet no students so no packets this is a standard right across RM in every DO. We told our DOM about this but he just wanted it pushed thru. If you want easy ot come to our office and have a laugh!
