Casual Mail Sorter / Manchester Mail Centre Help?

Hey there, this seemed like the best place to ask for assistence with this.

In a nutshell I was recently employed by Royal Mail as a Casual Mail Sorter in the Manchester Mail Centre, and while this is a pleasing turn of events it came to my attention during the induction (which was Friday, November 5th) that I'll be working as and when required, with no guaranteed minimum hours.

Obviously this is a little worrying, as I took this job with no other means of financially supporting myself.

To get straight to the point, I guess I'd like to know what kinds of hours per week I can expect, if any, considering the time of year (I've worked there as a christmas casual in the past and know how busy the place gets).

Also, if there's a contact number for a line manager or somesuch at the Manchester Mail Centre, or someone else it would be suitable to call for enquireies about shifts, I'd very much appreciate it.
