Re: revision gone wrong
Heard a rumour your office was thinking of walking out when the £600 wasn`t paid. Any truth in it?bahtatter wrote:Our revision at Sheepscar LS6/LS7 has been in since the 25th of october, no one has completed yet.
Letters can just get delivered by 2.30 pm on most walks but that is leaving tracked reggies and all packets!!! We have people in from all over Leeds and the office cannot get cleared, oh and our £600 bonus due to be paid today wasnt in our wage packet!

Re: revision gone wrong
So did ye not get on with the planner? I know him and heard he was pisst off having to get up early and drive to your office, shimmyrule wrote:dundee east has been in for four days now, 27 yorks of live mail unsorted, dates from end oct, 14 yorks of large packets, whole walks are coming back, and family friendlies are taking them out at 7 am next day, then the 2 shared van lads go out at 10- 30 ish with the days mail, nightshifts every night, managers from angus, perth, fife sortin all afternoons, its carnage, absolute carnage, no door to doors been done, leave them was the cry, no ones using pdas, cause they cant be arsed, today the note taking and raised voices started when the fleet of vands returned at 2- 30, what a sight it is,
7 weeks til xmas, theres a chance to earn about 4 grand in o/t workin nights one lad reckoned, amazing stuff, we await the bullyin to start soon,
Oh, belter, its a split office, dd4 sector and dd5, but now we all sort the mail together, so a guy wi 3o years on dd5 has to learn the dd4 sorting, and opposite, prep rates are around the 4 a minute, what a hoot, the jobs never been so easy.
i also heard that there was nearly some fechting on the cards when some o your crew gave him lip(hes usually up for a rumble)?
Anyway hope you soften him up and got every last drop out the revision/agreement(though it dosnt sound like it judging by your post?) i heard that he might be coming to oor office next and its full o runners and early starts not like the good reputation your office has for standing up for itself though we do get a good turn out in the national strikes.

Re: revision gone wrong
we started our new duties six weeks ago(first postcode). Started second wave this week. Prep time is the issue now. Haven't yet cleared my d2d. Can't see it happening any time soon. I have to say that our management are very keen to help us not cut off(redo the loops, once you're out the office as long as you're clear we'll pay the excess) but as I say the IWT has been a shambles. But that's OK because they can blame the new MC.
You have to wonder how, 10 years ago, it all just used to happen and why it doesn't anymore. Maybe i'm just old

No i dont think we will walk out but tensions are seriously rising we have had 2 resign in the past week , it is really bad not enjoying it at all. Just cutting off daily and battling with gaffers daily what fun!!ihatedogs wrote:Heard a rumour your office was thinking of walking out when the £600 wasn`t paid. Re: revision gone wrong
we have had it 6 weeks now and if anything is getting worse. where before if we had issues, we would try to get mail out anyhow. not now. people who a few weeks ago would never have thought of cutting off now doing so. our manager trying it on. 4 hour walks are for shared vans but he has normal walks up to 4 hours but are taking a lot longer result more cut offs. I have asked him time again to come on the walks and time them. so far he has refused

Re: revision gone wrong
I don't know what anyone really expected, those at the top think they got a good agreement but the reality is the middle management are just using these revisions to push through their savings.

Re: revision gone wrong
our manager is also saying prep time is the issue now. so he is paying to have people come in on days off for 4 hours to help prep. prob is no one willing to come in. even if they did Christmas is just around the corner and we rely on days off worked which does not leave any slack

Re: revision gone wrong
Have they resigned purely because of the revision? If so that just shows RM are starting to get the job losses they want at no cost. Exactly the situation they wanted.bahtatter wrote:No i dont think we will walk out but tensions are seriously rising we have had 2 resign in the past week , it is really bad not enjoying it at all. Leaving the rest of us to take up the even heavier burden, its a race to the bottom and its going to crash badly when it goes nationwide.ihatedogs wrote:Have they resigned purely because of the revision? Exactly, so long as the travel, delivery and MR combined do not take longer than duty time, then in theroy the issue is prep time.
If a delivery duty has a spare hour then logic demands that you cant use all that time on delivery as you wont have time then for the extra prep, allwoance for prep must be made when filling out any spare time real or imagined.

That's assuming it's you that's doing the prep.Big Daz wrote:kilrenny wrote:our manager is also saying prep time is the issue now.

Logic only demands that someone does this extra prep.
