Been live now for 2 weeks in crewe, and it still isn"t working. All week managers from liverpool, manchester, and alot of north west depots have been giving us a dig, . D2D has been laid out on our frames for monday, Hey ho.....

100%...no trolley...no longer walks....and only a 5kg bag on the flats.
All the 16kg bags should be removed from use in your D.O. after the delivery methods revision...in case any of the idiots are tempted.

The 5kg bag up stairs loops are what im interested in because they should make up most o the duties in our office,I
have been promised by area rep that we will get the 5kg bag loops plotted in geo route- so has anybody had a revision
where this has been done? The loops must be really short, time- wise as 5kg is about 2 sma bundles and a couple o packets

I heard about Crewe from a lad at Wigan.

We get it in January apparently but the nearest office to us, Leyland, started last week, and it was carnage! They start work at 6-30 to 7-00, not exact on that, and Tuesday the mail turned up at 10:20, they got off IPS at 11:45, and some were seen still delivering at 6pm! The floating manager from our place who had to go thier to help out Friday, said grown men had been sent home crying and breaking down as they just couldnt cope.

IMO they take it far too seriously and me, im of the mind that I work till my time then I get my little gorl straight from school, and they can go what the hell they like!

The ones who it will hit the hardest are the ones who have been getting early darts, and getting home early, and the ones on very easy rounds, and the ones who have 50 fags per morning.

Our dim lives near there! He said to us it's working fine! we get ours in march, apperently. you must be quite near to us then?

Just a question because they are trying to bring park & loop into my office, how do you deliver to flats? you can't use the golf trolley because you cant use it on stairs and you can't leave it unattended, and the basis of the agreement is weight off the shoulder, so we won't be agreeing to carrying bags, the planner has not got a clue and just says his waiting for confirmation on how it works as regards flats, obviously there most be loads of flats in Crewe so how did they plan it there? they also want 45 min loops, not seen walks/loops yet but ready for punch up, any help appreciated

You will have to go for the 5kg bags and work that part out of the van.
Think how much longer that fecking about will take.

Your right Postman, they want 45min loops with 5kg bags it will be more like 10 mins loops, the planner actually said to me were there's lifts you could take the trolley and just use the lift to stop at each floor I pointed out to him that we've got blocks of flats with 21 floors, he just looked at the floor and said I'm waiting for the higher ups to get back to me

There are a few deliveries that don't have flats or tenements but still wont be suitable for golf trolleys but I bet they'll try it on

As long as the trolley is still in sight it is ok to leave it although i wouldn't fancy legging it down those steps if someone was after having it.
Not that i would for a trolley full of crap.
