Scabbing is scabbing. Tell me why it's Ok for some, and I'll show you why others said it was Ok for them

Could be because of "An eye for an eye" or even "Do unto others as you would want them to do unto you"....personally I think a lot of it comes down to an individual's experience on the pickets in '07 & '09, and afterwards - if managers walked through quietly, accepted the banter, and got on with their job, I'd feel sympathetic for them ( and worry how long before it's the turn of OPGs ), but if they bragged about the money they earned, flicked the bird at strikers, then banged on at bonus time about how much they got ( knowing we get F. A. ), then I'd think, "What goes around, comes around".

Personally I have not decided - tbh I'm waitng to see if it's support mgrs only or across the business before I really think about it - but frankly I'm a little bit amazed that there has been a proliferation of staff in the management grades, with a reduction of staff in the postal grades yet managers are surprised that RM are turning on them now!

I did go through the picket line , but did not perform opg work, I also brought cups of tea out to the picket line for the postman as we all understood that the strike wasn't aimed at the Front line management but at royal mail, I did receive a reprimand from a senior manager for given the postmen tea and buscuits, When the staff went back, if i asked a favour it was usually granted and if other managers asked then it was turned down, there was one thing i learnt as a postman a small thing can last ages,

Unfortuantly Unite did not call a ballot at the same time as the CWU, if they had had done then a lot of managers would have been on the same picket line, as we were not on official industrial action then we could have been suspended.
Personally i think most managers who are in unite are most likely to be ex CWU and they tend to be more understanding, I could be wrong as i cannot speak for every office.
