monday 1st

make sure the mailsort is put out from saturday,look at how many have blown-out and who is late.
will try and get in his office due to the planning managers sitting in there talking a load of bol-----.

when he does get in his office starts to issue stages to staff,he has a few cups of tea with planning teapots.
then the big build up for the 7.15 conference call which lasts until all the work is sorted.

looks up his couple of hundread e-mails and has a few more arguements with drivers clearing the empty yorks.
makes sure the absortion is covered and nothing left in the frame.

also may mention clearing households just incase we have a fire drill (not to put them on the fire but to clear the floor)
and negotate a deal with the cwu rep on loaning the strike bin for his b-b-q when on strike.

Conference calls = "Hello "blah blah" here, ive got 50 yorks, no accidents and no other issues" followed by "blah blah has left the conference, and run to the coffee machine :dance

In my office one of the managers is a dolly bird a real bit of eye candy and she knows it. She always has heads turning when she walks down aisles to have a smoke outside. Most guys dont mind if she does that regular, it always gets heads turning and is a nice site.

On another note, I heard when posties are busy they may not be and vice versa. If things go wrong and complaints come in they have to sort it out and do the paper work. If there are staff shortages and cant get staff to cover they have to go out and do the walks, often just doing a bag, on some occasions an whole walk and dont get overtime for it. they may have a guilt trip by trying to look busy when the work is being done. there job is to make sure it is done. That is what happens in the services, the NCOs/officers watch the guys do the work after they give the orders. however some like staying in the warm and dry in bad weather when we have to do the donkey work especially around xmas time, so I can see the bitter feeling at them.

on another related point, is it a sacking offence to watch porn or go on an adult website or even facebook on the office computer? I have seen it being done! i thought they had blocks and filters to prevent it?
