Royal Mail unfair pricing E-petition
Hi there one and all
Royal Mail is told (by POSTCOMM) what they can charge for delivering items for rival operators. This pricing structure is totally unrealistic and does not represent the true cost of delivering such items. In an attempt to secure Royal Mails Universal service, I have set-up the following E-petition
http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/Postal-Pricing/
I would be very greatful that if you agree with what’s proposed to sign it and email on to anyone else you may know
Regards - Stu

I have emailed this to CWU, who were sending it to their postal executive and AMICUS (managers union), who sent it to the cheif secretary. I was hoping they would of encouraged all their officers to sign it and communicate to all members. Still early days, hope to hear back from them both soon.
Anyone got any ideas how I could promote this to a wider audience ??
Regards - Stu

If the channel 4 website has a big brother forum. Must be thousands of brain donors on there. You'll have to explain it in child like terms though, I doubt their brains can understand past a 6 year olds reading level.
Seriously though, is there anyway of getting it onto the BBC website?

There's also the management forum h*llmail.com
Although you're only allowed an opinion on there if your tongue's so far up leightons and croziers arse's you can taste toothpaste.

Allready posted on H/mail. Already had some interesting comments. Havent taken much notice, just trying to spread the word. Did just post it on the SUN online. I wrote a brief post explaining the differences between the mail these days and the measly sum we recieve for doing the most labour intense part of the delivery. Think I will try it on the big Brother forum also. Its getting late on a Friday evening and I am sure most of them are already Beer-d right up and will sign anything.

Don't forget this one.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

If competitors and RM cannot agree price for DSA then PostCon has the power to simply impose one. It would have been interesting had RM not negotiated a price and left it to the regulator. They in turn could have been blamed for not making it a realistic one, a price which everyone on here knows would most certainly not have been to the RM's advantage.
I'm confused about the noises coming from TNT though....
Royal Mail delivers 99.8% of the licensed letters in the UK (including all the mail TNT Post handles) and sets both wholesale and retail prices. By closing the gap between wholesale prices and retail prices and reducing margin headroom, Royal Mail could severely restrict the competitive landscape and prevent business customers, large and small, from enjoying the benefits of competition.
So erm, they have not had trial end to end deliveries then??? We have delivered EVERY letter that TNT post handled?
Competition? My erse!!!!
