I know its very easy to come to the conclusion by posts on this site that every office is being destroyed by the 2010 national agreement.

However progress is slow. Six months into the agreement the facts are

That only 156 delivery offices have introduced revisons out of 1500.

Only 16 mail centres have triggered a lump sum payment out of 64

Only 33 distrubtion hubs have introduced revisons.

262 CSS machines have so far been deployed out of 520 due and 29 iLSMs out of 57 planned.

So progress is slow. Thats not our fault , mainly due to Royal Mail not having enough planners. However equally the scare stories on here must all be from the 156 offices and not the 13 hundred odd who have yet to deploy. Lets keep things real !!

So, I make that, out of 156 revisions deployed thus far, 156 have/or are, going tits-up.
I cannot for the life of me see, that there's much hope for the remaining 1,300 offices.
Savings, savings, savings, cuts, cuts, cuts, equals disastrous working conditions for posties, and a service which yet again falls further behind the very high standards of quality of service we once boasted of during the last century.
Truly appalling, that any trade union, let alone the CWU, allows itself to become a partner in crime with the middle-class idiots, out of touch with reality, so crassly stupid to be beyond belief, with an attitude towards it's front-line workforce that borders on hate, is the best way I can sum up this whole sorry disaster.

I think the scare monger is coming out of offices where they've seen the revision walks. Dingo, i'd offer you to come down to our office and do what they plan for us.
39 hour week, 1200 walk upped from 854. five lots of d2d's and the proposal is work at 7am, ips and walks thrown in, out for 9am, 5hr 15mins outdoor duty.

Now we atm can't get done on time as it is. start 6.15am , ips for usually 2hrs on a busy day, out by 1050am, back around 3pm. overtime 1hr including meal relief.

Dingo i don't know what planet you are on or high up on the cwu ladder but do not but the blame on this total shambles down to the lack of planners, the cwu leadership are as much to blame for this mess. my office is due to start park and loop in two weeks time and for the last two months i have been trying to get in touch with our area rep, div rep, and the branch sec, and not one of them have made any contact with me they know offices are being bullied into these revisions, if i thought that the members in my office would walk out they would have my full support, support that is lacking from our leadership. Dingo the so called scare stories you talk about are not stories this is happening now. all i say is do not put all the blame on the planners the cwu are as much to blame for this mess than anyone.

Our office is a week off going live with deploying the revision

We still have idiot runners in our office, but lots of guys have said to me quite openly that they will not be going over their time by 1 second.

There will be cut offs galore this xmas.

RM have cut and cut and cut,

our dom is living in cuckoo land if he think we can jump from 65 bsi to 95-100 bsi

Our delivery spans have been increased by 30 mins too allegedly. But I know on a daily basis what time I finish,

No amount of intimidation or " well so and so can do it" will convince me otherwise.

I will come in as I do now on time, take my break, do my job properly with no corner cutting and to the best of my ability.

When 150pm arrives im off home.

So that equates to 120pm out on delivery, my ride back in, sort my bags/739s etc and out i go


I will start enjoying work again and wont get stressed anymore.

Yes, the Tories have said that, New Liebour said much the same when they wanted to sell off RM, Hooper said as much, too. One thing they all have in common, apart from being a brotherhood of slime, is that they have all said that RM's senior executives are hopelessly incompetent.
Then, as if to breath life into the term, hand in glove, along come our buffoons who allie themselves with some of the most hopeless businessmen, any business was unfortunate enough to be saddled with.

this is what we were told!
whatever the new version of georoute chucks out then that's what it is, if that means more time into the office then so be it, CDV, electric trolleys, whatever the equipment that we needed to "take the weight of shoulder" would be available, told to us by the area manager
we have planners coming out of our ears!
Then now we are told no CDV, no extra equipment, you might get 3 trolleys, i hope you can move forward with this as we have no money for equipment, but when it is implemented then, obviously we will look at getting you the equipment you need in the future [lol]

this is not a scare story it is happening, when the vote comes for implementation then i know what i am voting for, looking like a disagreement
how can you have a revision when the equipment that is needed for it will not be made available

hi dingo, im quite new to this site, but you sound like a manager, considering your knowledge of what you have written here. only someone who is senior in the union or management would have this information on a national scale.. as you have written.. please can you clarify your position to how you know such detail.... cheers bob...
