My knees are both fubar (along with my feet, ankle and hip) so that's what you've got to look forward to if you stay in RM for a few more years

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been. And some people wonder why I like working my day off - being PT is only part of the reason ( being too tired to do jack on a Sunday is another reason )

Inundated with council mailshot today, A4 and more than a cm thick so got asked to come in and prep a couple of hours on o/t. My walk this week is all but one street of council houses and i took as many as i could fit in the bags but that still left about 1/3, still had lapsing and d2d to do too. The remainder of the mailout (less than half) is due in tomorrow, went nearly an hour over my time, wonder what time i'll get finished Tues.

Why are you absorbing lapsed walks if your that chocca?

Didn't have the bestest of days. Lighest day of the week and I finished at 1.22pm. Got back at the office at 1.30pm. Thought the manager looked at me odd, probably thought his absorption plans are going to the wall if we can't get done by 12pm on a light Tuesday. I know, I know - of course he wasn't REALLY thinking that. Maybe had something in his eye. Anyways, not great. A load of recordeds (plus specials) and not a lot of people in. Wet. WET. Cold as well.
Went over again today, then travelled across town to do 1/3 extra, finished at 16:40. We have a LOT of walks to cover due to people being sick (as f*ck, allegedly).

1. Hoseasons - bloody loads
2. Caravan club - 2 magazines - one huge one
3. 27 recorded
4. 12 specials
5. No transport - so manager had to squeeze 2 of us plus 4 lots of bags in a corsa!

so by the time i had put all the bags out(with pitful help from managment!)
