Xmas Casual 'Registration Day' ID question

Hello.

Returning to Royal Mail this Christmas after over a year due to a desperate need for some cash! I got an email this evening asking for all manner of forms and ID for a 'registration day'. Thing is, the ID it asks for is either a passport (mine ran out last year) or a British driving licence plus counterpart (I've just got a provisional and I lost the paper part of it). Both of these identification have my picture on it, so should I worry? Will my previous time at Royal Mail (2006-2009) help in that respect? Or am I screwed?

This is what I was wondering. All it is, is a 'proof of identity'. My provisional driving licence with my ugly mug plastered on it surely should do? Regardless of whether the counterpart paper version is present? Besides which, my passport dates from '99 when I was just a kid, I look a lot different. :D

2 Things.

1. If you have a contact number call them and see what they say.

2. I also lost my paper licence this year but you can now apply for a replacement on line and it happen very quickly - I got mine replaced in about 2 weeks. This has also happened to me. I can not find the counter part anywhere. My registration day is in a few days so it is too late to send a replacement to arrive in time.

Any idea if this is essential, or can I bring other forms of ID to back me up such as bank cards, pay checks etc. I have everything else like full birth certificate, NI card, prov driving licence, bank statements etc.

Or has anyone got a number I can call to discuss this (there's loads of different one's on the site and not sure which one!)

I went to this last week, the counter part is essential - without it they will send you home. A bit puzzling considering it isn't a driving job I'm going for.

Luckily I also took & photocopied my passport. In the absence of my counterpart license, this was accepted. Even though it ran out last year.

Is there any chance of me being able to put back the registration day as I won't have the counterpart in time?

What number can I call to request?
