It seems that only Admin managers are to be ballotted. In the unlikely event that they do vote to strike
and eventually take strike action, will their CMA colleagues in frontline supervisory roles support them?
If Admin managers mount picket lines at MCs will the line managers refuse to cross them?

If depot managers strike, would us posties be allowed to enter the warehouse, as no supervisor is present?

Even if managers do strike, which I think is highly unlikely, some will go in, so there would be some managers present.

Lets be honest, if managers do strike who will miss them, they are more of a hindrance than a help, the only useful perpose they serve is to sign for our overtime (although that is no guarantee that you will be paid it). In our office for example you have a rather rotund manager who will not under any circumstances leave his chair under any circumstanmces, we have a young whipersnapper who spends all his time on the \Liverpool website and the rest occupy themselves on either ebay or booking weekends away. About time there jobs were looked at and good riddance to the lot of them. :funneh

The ballot will supposedly take place next month, low and behold action to be taken over the christmas period. Wont happen, RM will resolve this to stop it from happening. Either that, or RM and Unite will go into "negotiations" until after the christmas pressure, with a period of "calm".
Doesn't this sound familiar!

I cant see it happening, they will get 2 years guaranteed salary as a thank-you and that will be enough to stop a strike. There again I could be totally wrong.

Will Unite ask the CWU to come out in support of their members? :whistle It seems very ironic that Unite says it's member should not be made to suffer for the mistakes of Royal Mail. Who the Bloody Hell should then? :arrrghhh

I suppose this is a case of, "I was only obeying orders", when they were steamrollering unrealistic changes through their offices by Executive Action! :mad Tossers didn't think further than their next bonus! :Boo hoo!
