No cars on delivery throughout the whole area where I am. Get caught in your car and you'd probably be in for the sack.
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

When you saw him loading his car up did you mention to him he's not insured and if caught by the old bill he'd have his car towed away?

How did you manage this? Who's decision? Was it because you have had your cdv revision?

I only ask because i would love to see cars banned at our D.O.

It appears to have been a joint agreement between our CWU rep and our DOM. Funny enough our Dom is keen to see the job done correctly as well, she says that using cars is just an accident waiting to happen and i totally agree. :Very Happy

The revision at our office thats coming in jan/feb 2011is a mini shake down with the loss of four duties and a repick. The walk sequenced mail and van sharing has yet to happen in my neck of the woods but hopefully by doing the job correctly and stopping the use of cars will help to keep those cuts realistic. :pray

Bet you wish you hadn't posted that Swinton eh? :d'oh! You're new to this s**t but you'll learn. If you use your car you're a VERY naughty boy!

No one in my office uses their car, but that's not down to any sort of agreement, it just doesn't make sense. We had someone come in to help out from a nearby office and I was trying to sort him a bike out and he said, "Don't bother I'll be using my car!".
I must admit I was just gob smacked, I didn't even bother to give him a hard time

As far as I'm concerned if you're using your car you're an idle bastard - no apologies - If RM want to to use a HCT, a bike or a bloody zimmerframe just get on and do it! If you use your car and make it look easier than it is you're not doing yourself, or your fellow Posties, any favours.
Like all Wage Slaves, he had two crosses to bear: The people he worked for and the people he worked with! (Stephen Vizinczey.)
