They won't strike, no backbone. All the work would be completed with out them there which will prove we don't need 99% of them.

well said i agree, we have 3 managers at my office, 2 just stand around doing nothing, sorry yes they do, brew up and make toasted tea cakes..

Whilst not yet reported in this country this consultative ballot is about to happen, and yes it would have a huge effect on us if days of action occurred.

And yes I agree a lot of them are spineless bar-stewards but we are talking about a quarter of them been given their marching orders and as a result I would think they will get a yes vote from at least this number of people and action will occur.

As per normal I will not cross a picket line, nor will I be in work if I am not receiving my pay.

Too be honest though I dont think we would be allowed in by RM without them due to insurance details, H&S etc and so we might all be sent home on pay whilst they strike.

God knows I've seen plenty managers cross CWU picket lines down the years.
Besides, I really couldn't give a Monkey's how many of them get the tin-tac, the more, the better, as far as I'm concerned.

Sorry to burst a couple of bubbles here, but there is no way offices will be allowed to open if there are no managers in. Our issues will be will we be paid whilst offices are closed.

Everyone needs to support this action and see the bigger picture, the vote is because Royal Mail are making compulsory redundancies on reduced terms that have not been agreed with the union. CWU members will soon be facing the same issue, a stand needs to be taken by all workers against Royal Mail's position.

So you don't think they'll be able to find enough strike breakers to keep some (but obviously not all) sites open?
But it IS good to hear from someone else, who puts their morals above scoring points. There seem to be far too many, looking forward to the chance to cross Manager's Picket Lines. And I pity them. To have such weak moral fibre, that they'd resort to crossing Picket Lines, simply because the Managers did it to us.
