OUR CDV REVISION CAME IN ON TUESDAY (5th) IN THE NE AREA, WHAT AN ABSOLUTE SHAMBLES. BAGS OF MAIL BEING BROUGHT BACK AFTER LADS HAVE WORKED PAST THEIR TIME. MAIL BEING LEFT IN TRAYS, THEN BEING PREPPED IN THE AFTERNOON MY PEOPLE ON OVERTIME. DOESN'T HELP THAT THE MAIL CENTRE IS UNDERSTAFFED THERFORE SEQUENCED MAIL NOT ARRIVING ON TIME, DIDNT GET OUT UNTIL 11 ON TUESDAY. MANAGERS OUT ON DELIVERY UNTIL 6.30 AT NIGHT. NO PACKETS OR SPECIALS BEING TOOK OUT. SUNDAY ON AS OVERTIME CHUCKING WALKS IN. BASICALLY ANY AMOUNT OF OVERTIME YOU WANT. BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS THAT THE PLANNER WAS TOLD BY US IN MEETINGTHAT THE WALKS WERE FAR TOO BIG, BUT THE SHUTTERS WENT UP, HE WAS RIGHT HE KNEW BEST!!!!!!!!

Talking to one driver i met this week, pretty much saying the same about the utter balls up of a cdv revision in his office and that 'if this is how much of a shambles one quarter of the office going cdv is, god help us'. And im only just hearing that we're supposed to be using trolleys on this park and loop fiasco? No wonder there's a sh*tload of mail coming back on a daily basis.

Word on the street from a good source (take it whatever way you want but it's kosha) is the planners in NE are under pressure to get deliver revisions in on time even if it means cutting corners.

Any ideas on how you cut a corner in RM?

Im in the NE, and after around 6 weeks of CDV in the office things are still a shambles. The duties are just too big. But its not the planners fault of course, its ours because we are all under performing.

Mail being left in or brought back every day, and we have at least 3 posties from other offices in covering these bits 6 days a week, and managers have been seen on the streets well into the evening.

Me and my partner have stood our ground and always use trollys, put d2d in frame, etc, whilst others are running round with bags on their backs, coming in early, not taking breaks, etc, just to try and complete.

For the last 2 weeks they have had us completing forms with how long each loop takes, how many packets, specials, trackeds, etc, basically trying to catch us out. Theyve failed, so next week someone is coming to follow us round and time the duties. Cant wait, as Ive got nowt to hide.

The harrassment is in full swing. We only have around 28 duties in the DO, yet we have 3 doms in everyday.
Prep tests (officially and spying round corners. How often are they allowed to do these, surely twice a day isnt right?? And if the frame isnt empty then 23 must be adequate??)
Questioning peoples honesty, standing over people while they sort, telling people to stop talking and work harder, getting people to bundle our mail while we are on our breaks, sitting in cars and watching us on the streets, etc etc.
Our rep is a jellyfish and no help at all.

There is a hardcore that are standing firm tho, however I feel its just a matter of time before they either try to make an example of someone or someone snaps and does something that will cost them their job.

5 offices are going live (NE)on Monday,word is it's not going to be pretty.
Even the planners are going sick with stress!

dundee east starting 1st nov, rushed in, all questions pertaining to revision/van sharing/seniority, timed loops/which of the 2 will drive, do packets,who returns van etc -remain unanswered,800 quid will be released, the 200 within 2 weeks, and the 600 within further 2 weeks, was signed off on friday i believe, its gonna be a guaranteed fuckup.
