We have our own little shop that we run from what used to be a store cupboard.
35p for a twix and 40p for a can of coke...and any profits go to charity.

Rows of houses all bearing down on me........I can feel their blue hands touching me.......All these things in all positions.........All these things will one day take control..........

A very interesting idea.
Who provided the initial capital for the start-up of the venture?
Who is responsible for restocking etc? Who decides what to buy? Is this all done freely in their own time?
Is payment done on a trust basis or does your unit have a tuck shop duty? (And was it ringfenced in any revision activity?)
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

It started about 15 years ago on a very small scale...a couple of packs of cans,a box of crisps and mars bars...tbh i can't remember where the initial cash came from but it has just evolved slowly over the years. We bought a fridge for it from our first-line fix money.
Our H&S rep does the restocking in his own time...and works the till(Quality street tin)....management in the past gave him 10 minutes extra prep time to cover his "shopkeeper duties" but that has been eroded since 2007.

THIS SHOULD BE ROYAL MAILS LOGO
"You may pronounce us guilty a thousand times over, but the goddess of the eternal court of history will smile and tear to tatters the verdict of this court - for she acquits us.
Sometimes the little man in the machine, who actually provides the "water" for the brews, forgets to poke your change out - ever wondered why you don't need a spoon to stir it with?.............................
