So later finishes and later starts and longer saturdays were not given away by the union , it is a direct consequence of walk sequencing and there is no other solution.
So why wasn't the opposition to walk sequence machines fought then? this is going to change peoples lives because the machinery is too slow, plus customers receiving mail won't be pleased having their mail delivered way in to the afternoon, it will almost be a day late and a terrible service, why wasn't any of this taken into consideration?
Because, it didn't effect them. Because, they think they can take us paying our dues, no matter what, for granted. Because, because, the CWU is led by idiots.

D2D quality is definitely worse because of the CWU sell out.
D2D quality is worse because Delivery Office Managers are too stupid to put in place very simple procedures to ensure the D2D get delivered - as negotiated by their own senior managers.
Nah, pickaname is bang on the money.
That shyte that nobody loves, nobody wants, nobody gives a flying feck over, the, and I hate to use this word in relation to such shyte, quality, is worse thanks to the CWU sell-out.
Or should that be "deal of the century"? :Very Happy

Time, and time again, the vast majority of the members have taken the action that has been all too necessary, and time, and time again, they've been betrayed by men and women with no stomach for a fight, too safe in their cosy little full-time release worlds to see out a battle fought to the bitter end.
I've now lost count how many times we had RM management on the ropes, only for you and your cronies to slither along and scupper once and for all any hope that we might wring from RM improvements to our terms and conditions.

Royal Mail's senior executives must think they've never had an easier ride.
"Oh, this is the workplan we've come up with, it means the oiks who overwhelmingly supported every strike, will have even less quality time at the weekend than they do now (snigger). Sorry we didn't bother consulting with the union, but you know how it is (snigger).

The CWU has sown the seeds, let them now reap the bitter harvest. :cuppa
I think you forgot the lower pay for more work DH - now that really was the coup de grace. Will privatisation be such a bad thing if it brings everyone into line and we truly have a work force which does things together and no area is treated any differently to another and so does not have a different agenda. Probably those who have reaped the most will lose the most. :hmmmm

Yes, the lower pay for more work, I must be taking that for granted, as after nearly every agreement reached by RM and CWU, that is almost certainly a sure-fire outcome.
As for privatisation, I'm inclined to agree with you, mate.
One thing is sure and certain, dvb.....What we have now, isn't worth fighting for.
