Ther're both talking bollocks. If the office you want to go to has FT vacancies, and you don't have a bad sick/conduct record then you go as a FT.You would only go PT if that was what you wanted. The best bet is to contact the manager (s) of the offices you would like to transfer to and have a word with them to find out if they have any vacancies.BettySwollocks wrote:I asked my rep and management about transfering, and was told if i voluntarily transfer, i would have to accept part time hours ???Edward Hunter wrote:I`ve just moved, FT transfer, on my request. You keep your seniority and also any bonuses your old office may have had such as the monthly PBS.
is it on paper anywhere regarding this, as i want to move as far from this shithole of a place i live in as i can.

I think it's the other way round, because they would find it hard to sack me, at least they can get rid of another full timer by transfering me,Si67 wrote:You got no chance then!!!BettySwollocks wrote:Thanks for that, great newsroger wrote:Ther're both talking bollocks. If the office you want to go to has FT vacancies, and you don't have a bad sick/conduct record then you go as a FT.You would only go PT if that was what you wanted. The best bet is to contact the manager (s) of the offices you would like to transfer to and have a word with them to find out if they have any vacancies.![]()

Re: Transfers, do you keep your seniority?
Getting a FT transfer is not that easy, because in reality while your office DOM will probably be glad to get a FTer off the books, other areas would also rather have PT rather than FT. I wasnt making much headway at all despite knowing the office i wanted to go to had FT vacancies, and were struggling to get deliveries out at all. My new office is 100% FT btw, so another FTer was not high on the agenda however much they were struggling! ATOS was my saviour because of child care issues, and once they became involved it all went very well. TBH i was also helped by both DOMS
believe it or not. Try all avenues and you can get what you want. Good Luck.
