D2D in my office is now an absolute shambles.

For example, many items now come in late. This means there is no one available to deliver them. I wont have time to prep/deliver the extra and my floater wont either. Result - they get dont get done.

Also there is confusion as to what is done when. Each member of staff has been asked to write down which days they do which roads, but some have stated they will do more than the specified 16.6% per day - some as much as 33%.

If im covering their day off for example Im only required to do 16.6% so the rest gets left as I can no longer claim for the excess.

D2D quality is definitely worse because of the CWU sell out.

D2D quality is worse because Delivery Office Managers are too stupid to put in place very simple procedures to ensure the D2D get delivered - as negotiated by their own senior managers.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

yeah, thats right, theres two lads in our office(*******) have just got their new duties in the re-pick, using cdv,s, the two duties they,ve picked have a total of 2110 drops. this week they,ve had 5 lots of d2ds each. fortunately for them the revision isnt in yet. but on the bright side, when it is in, then they would have 10,550 d2ds to look forward to for that week. so they,ll REALLY be looking forward to having 6 or 7 lots around christmas time. but at least they get 20 pund extra each for doing them. :Very Happy :Very Happy

We've got record numbers of returned d2d simply because the manager adopts the "do them any way you want stance"(suits him very nicely) leading to nobody knowing what's been done/not been done, especially on lapsed duties.

Yes it's a very "simple procedure" to do 1/6 a day on a marked frame, but the flyers complain that this "takes longer" so they don't get home as early! :arrrghhh We've even got a couple of boys that still take d2d's home to make them up. You would have thought that now we're getting hehaw for them, that everyone would want to gain something back, but there you go. I'm afraid the old adage rings true, you can lead a horse to water........

So once again there appear to be different classes of "live mail"
Would they consider taking their redirections home to do as well?
f**k - I shouldn't even have suggested that.

our office has a 1/6th plan in operation, states clearly from to & how many DP's per day, managers know that we are to prep them each morning,it seems to be working,at the end of the week if you haven't signed off any of your D2D you are hunted down so no dodging or lame excuses

still shite delivering them tho

What is funny is managers have been busted for them not being done in some places and in other places managers still don't give a f**k about them and have got away with s**t,quality stuff.
Also regarding some of our colleagues,we do have some muppets in this firm don't we,quality stuff again.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Taking them home check we've got that.
Someone asked the manager if it would be okay if he done during his MR. can you guess what he said?

Do they plan to deliver it like in the old computer game paperboy. ie cycle past and throw it at the door.
if not i'll watch the news for two dead postmen in NE.

Under the old payment sytem they would have been paid £52.85 each for 3 D2D, for 5 D2D £88 each. we could have all been "D2D barrons" just for doing our own walks. :chuckle
never mind DSA barrons it is.
