SW London to ballot

Post by johnnyp »

C.W.U. SW London branch have wrote to h.q asking to ballot for industrial action in response to royal mails continued failure to ignore the I.R framework and go forward with there business plan without negotiation with our branch. This is not on and if we sit back and do nothing its a very very serious threat to our terms and conditions. :no no The sort of things ive heard are shocking such as people being offered vrs ,buy down of hours etc these issues should be dealt with under managing the surplus frame work agreement,it seems royal mail dont want to use this anymore which is very dangerous and must not be allowed to happen, these agreements are put in place to get the best for the membership and must be used at all times. As from Monday hours on belateds are to be reduced as well in sw london without negotiation :d'oh! Looks like battle is about to commence :pray

We're off!!!
We had ours voted in at our AGM,much the same reasons Johnny.
Would be interesting if others start to follow suit, not just London, but nationwide.
Like you say,the battle is about to commence.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

I don't think that the rest of the country is going to be to far behind you. We are giving it some consideration at Burslem as we are now not getting FT positions filled except by PTimers and RM seem to be missing the IR framework completely. We probably need to deal with our current strike before applying for another one though   It's about time a national strike was called instead of isolating smaller units or areas. It could even be done on a unit by unit basis if there are any concerns about not actually getting the vote nation wide. :so there :so there
EVERYBODY SHOULD STAND UP AND BE COUNTED AS THESE ISSUES WILL AFFECT EVERYBODY AT SOME POINT THIS YEAR :so there :so there

GOOD LUCK WITH THE BALLOT :Applause :Applause :Applause

i agree with cip to many units are or are trying to be isolated bring on the ballot. we also in our unit in the ST area are not being resourced properly even though we had a dispute lasting about 6 days in december on the issue and we won that battle and are now having the same fight only 3 months later. GOOD LUCK WITH THE BALLOT SW LONDON LETS HOPE FOR A MASSIVE YES VOTE.

They are doing the same as ELMC just sent all processing staff the same letter offering vrs and working less hours would never have happened in the old days, but when the guvnors know the place is full of dirty strike breakers thet chance there arm don't they, the militants in the office just binned them lets hope they bring compulsory redundancies in last in first out that should get rid of all the strike breakers at my office.
Most of the strike breakers joined the job in the last 5 years speaking of strike breakers hows that c*** bob baker doing dirty scab c*** from the tpo
