we have had them since i started,so 6 years plus
most dont use them but the plus side is for pulling out of date packets out
its easier to read quickly
as long as folks write clearly then its fine

Just as a matter of interest custard, have you ever worked in the callers office? I only ask because you say as long as folks write clearly on the sticker - well I have worked in there and, believe me, some of the 739s look like they have been completed by a left handed moronic chimp.

oh yes, many a time in the locker
i meant write clearly in place of using the sticker
always annoying when you cant make out if a packet has been there days or weeks by the date.
istill say all delivery staff should do a week on the door to see the effects o poor P739's!
my P739s are always fully filled in with a mini packet description

Ive seen these around but they are onl given to the firms drivers who double up and deliver parcels. Us "normal" postie have to write on them in the normal way.
Rows of houses all bearing down on me........I can feel their blue hands touching me.......All these things in all positions.........All these things will one day take control..........
