Wrong two areas of the country went out on unofficial strike together and it was Liverpool and London. It was during the pay and mod official strike action when Royal Mail moved to make people later starts and had not resolved the issue of pay protection Corpoas Hill went out on strike as did Popular and Streatham in London followed by the majority of London offices which led to both London and Liverpool being out on strike for several days. That Friday night an agreement was reached which resolved the pay and mod issue including the unofficial action.
It is sad that Liverpool is closing , was a strong office and has had a long line of leaders in the CWU.

Yes, all the progress Liverpool has made, City of Culure 2008 etc., it's unfortunate and disappointing that the 'hubcap' and 'car radio' jibes still persist No mention though of young mothers so hopefully the city now lost its reputation for that.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been. My BFF Clash The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
The mail centre now passes into history, heard some guys there took loads of photos and a souvenir or two, be interesting to see how the Warrington Mail Centre turns out with all the staff in.
