Reported that around 30 mail centres failed over the past couple of days.
Masses of direct bags heading into the D.O.s.
Scheduled diversions for next week in my area the M/C failed around 200k last night and the same the night before...in October FFS.
WTF is going on.........
We have been cutting off left, right and centre. Managers are running like chickens in the afternoon and we are drinking coffee. Loads of mail left today as well as packets. Just very sorry for all those customers but RM management hasn't got a clue and will never have.
My MC has been taking in neighbouring MC's 2c for months now, with the pkts and tracked plus RTS the latest additions to the list.A few of the other MC's staff transfered, with most of the rest taking EVR.Our MC is being expected to take all this extra work, but only added a few extra duties!!Quite funny watching all the office staff INC the MC manager and shift managers sorting for all their worth!
Can't wait for the run-up to Christmas.............
I know that the mail coming in our DO is very hit or miss, somedays no packets, other days overloaded with packets, sometimes we get a tray of sequenced mail other days all the letters come down as crash mail, sometimes the MS come in needing to go out that day etc.
My opinion is the NIMC is just firefighting sending people to clear one area and neglecting the other which causes that to need clearing the next day etc.
Not to mention that they can't even label the trays properly when we do get them (now we just check them and if not for us we wander around the office and put them where they should be).

Wake up you blind bastards at the CWU f***ing do something!!!
they have done something, they have secured themselves a seat at the table and ensured there snouts are still in the trough... hq and full time release are worried they will be sidelined and maybe have to work for a living in future...
WCM has nothing to do with output beleve it or not! it is to do with job cuts for fls and keeping managers in full time employment
