Crew bus to a new office

Post by swoosta »

If you are forced to go to a new office and RM puts on a Crew Bus does that mean you don't get travel money even if you want to go by car?

If RM are prepared to provide transport for you to travel to/from your own DO to another one, then there is no reason why they should pay you to travel by your own car.

At Crewe people offered a choice, free crew bus (at set times) or ETE (excess travel expenses) to go by own car. ETE is 25p a mile first 45miles, then 12.5p a mile thereafter, (shite). All in your own time of course not company time.

Duty time is set eg if you are 0600-1400, that is your duty time, you are expected to sign in at 0600, so the bus may leave at 0500 to be there on time if you miss it that is your problem!

The advantage of the bus is that if it gets held up then thats out of your hands and everyone is late so it gives you some protection from late attendance procedures. Obviously if you choose to go by car and are late, then they could point the finger at you.
