Bulgaria's government does not intend to privatize the state postal services company "Bulgarian Posts EAD."

This has been declared in Parliament Friday by Transport Minister Alexander Tsvetkov who sought to refute accusations by the opposition with respect to alleged plans to privatize the state posts.

Tsvetkov's predecessor and current MP from the Socialist Party, Petar Mutafchiev, accused the Cabinet of failing to reform "Bulgarian Posts EAD" which accruing more and more debts.

He also suspects plans of preparing to remove the company from the list of state entities that cannot be privatized.

The current minister countered these claims by saying that Bulgarian Posts is being restructured, including by outsourcing some of its activities.

He also said that while the company ended 2009 with a lost of BGN 8 M, it registered a profit of 500 000 BGN in the first half of 2010.
