Fan mail floods the house that Robbie DIDN'T buy

Singer and heartthrob Robbie Williams has left a posh mansion in southern England swamped with fan mail after he visited it to look round.
Williams was thinking of buying the Tudor Brenchley Manor in a quiet Kent village, but decided against it, and the house has since been sold to someone else.

However, the very fact that the 36-year-old megastar, formerly of the highly successful boy band Take That, had looked around the mansion – which is near Tunbridge Wells – ensured that fan mail by the sackful has been arriving there.

“Desperate locals have even been forced to put signs on the front gates of the mansion begging postmen not to deliver the fans’ mail written to the superstar,” says the redtop Daily Star. “A source said: ‘We were amazed to hear Robbie may be moving here and now it’s clear the whole world knows.’”

The paper further quotes the source as saying: “His fans are sending so much mail the postmen are struggling to cope. And the owners of the house have been overrun too.”

Last month Williams married the 31-year-old US actress Ayda Field at their £12 million home in Beverly Hills, California.
