New Parcelforce Agency Driver - advice please

Post by flyingjock1 »

Hi Folks

Just looking for some advice please.

Start working via agency next week as a collection and delivery van driver at a scottish depot and have been racking my brains to see if ive got everything covered.

The agency have already had my details approved via Royal Mail security and various discloure checks done and passed.
I have a clean driving licence with no points and endorsements.

What im worried about is that i had a bump in my own car last year which was decided as a fault claim against me and was wondering if this will cause me problems getting covered under the Royal Mail/Parcelforce fleet insurance. Noone ever brought this up when i was registering with the agency.

im 45 years old and up till last year had 17 year unblemished driving record.

Any advise appreciated.

I can't be certain but I really don't think you need to worry. I think as long as you're not currently banned from driving then you're employable in pf's eyes. I hope you enjoy it. I only joined pf to tie me over for a few weeks til I found a proper job. That was over 10 years ago :chuckle If you're after loads of overtime to save up for chrimbo then this might be the ideal job for you. Good luck

Certain times of day on my round I'm lucky if I can drive faster than walking pace let alone reach the dizzy heights of 30mph :chuckle
