In his victory speech, he said stuff along the lines of "The working class? We've f*cked 'em over & taken the p*ss for the last 13 years, while we turned into the Tories, and without the working class, we're stuffed - we need to work together, so we can rebuild the trust of the working class...blah, blah, blah"

It sounded good ( the bits that did penetrate my consiousness ), but it didn't sound a whole lot different to anything from Blair or Brown - so, here comes the new boss, same as the old boss.

There was no immediate public reaction from David Miliband but in an email to supporters, he said: "I am moved and honoured by your support and proud of our campaign together. I passionately want Ed to have a united party."

Losing candidate Ed Balls told Sky's Adam Boulton: "We have got a new leader, he's going to do a great job, we will all unite behind him."

Andy Burnham, who came fourth, echoed his sentiments and said Labour was united.
"What this contest has shown is that there is no ideological divide. Strong and united,

Diane Abbott, the candidate who polled the fewest votes, said: "I ran the course, I said the things I wanted to say and now the party can unite."


I take it the new slogan is....Labour United

Which means the Labour party have a leader that the majority of labour MPs didn't want and the majority of labour party members didn't want either....it's f***ing hilarious if you ask me....democracy at work.

Cheers postman, but I can't take the credit - you don't need to be John Cole to work out the obvious viz, Blair, public school & Oxbridge, barrister; Brown, state school & Edinburgh Uni at 16, lecturer & journalist; (D)Ed Millibland, state school, Oxbridge & LSE, Labour Party speechwriter; in short, no recent Labour party leader has ever had to get their hands dirty, or be a prole to earn money, in fact none of the candidates has worked in the industries most of their voters work in - so, if it looks, walks and talks like a duck ( and the same breed of duck as the one before, or the same breed as the other ones trying to get your attention ) why should be expect it to behave like a Peruvian Llama?

Everyone knows that politics moves on in ever decreasing circles. We're getting closer and closer to a time now where your vote, whilst consequential in picking the man at the top, will have no bearing on the overall outcome, because you'll be picking between clone a and clone b. The only thing separating them will be that they dislike each other. Labour has just about ruled itself out of government for a few more terms, barring a Tory implosion. I don't really care, I don't like either of them.

Don't blame the institutions, George Orwell went to Eton. Our State education system should be as good as the public school system but it isn't. Propaganda encourages the shafted class to shun education and take a pride in being ignorant. Don't think, shop. Anglo saxon workers are told it's not your place to think, just do what you're told and we'll provide immigrants to slave for you.

Using people has become second nature in this country. The babyboom generation expect their own children and grandchildren to slave for peanuts whilst they enjoy comfortable retirements on final salary pensions. The next time you are are in the 30 minute queue for exorbitantly priced petrol, check out the immaculately dressed silver hairs with their brand new motors. Did they really work as hard as we're doing now?
