It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

A better day mail wise compared to the last couple of weeks. Hopefully it will stay the same all week :pray

Did a walk and a half inside three and a half hours today, it was that light. I'm expecting tomorrow to be light followed by the biggest bastard of a wednesday since time began. And the now customary terrible thursday, of course. Followed by a friday halfway from hell. Thankfully, saturdays are usually alright at our place.

It was quite nice at work this morning, no one getting overly stressed (well only by the amount of D2D's). Hardly any packets so I guess we are going to get hammered the rest of the week. Just wish it was this chilled out everyday instead of it being a battle.
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

Lightest day I've had in the job today. Was convinced I must have left a bundle behind. Tomorrow is going to be hell.

I hate days like that... The days when you're prepped and ready to go before you feel you should be and you should have more mail than you've actually got. I then spend the rest of the morning worrying (a little) that, when I return to the office, there's going to be a tray of mail that I'd forgotten about.

A nice light Tuesday on my delivery, but my SA collection, offered to me ad hoc, as the bloke that had it didn't fancy it, cos it was lapsed ( 34 collection points missed ) and all because the am manager was more concerned with getting his deliveries out, rather than not shafting the late manager....and if anyone in the TN area wants to know who it was, PM me & I might let you know

Oh, BTW, I made sure that every business that mentioned the lack of service, was informed of what happened AND encouraged them to complain ( its not the first time this manager has screwed a collection ).

PS I also heard another collection was screwed ( leading to at least one letter of complaint to PostComm ), but it is part of a duty, and for whatever reason, that duty wasn't covered :cuppa
I don't suppose your mouth bleeds every 28 days, does it?

Not the worst Wednesday ever, but still reasonably bad. Finished just about on the dot, but 3 hrs 45 mins of that time was delivery. Not too bothered though, even if it seemed to drag.
