So we're having walk sequencing machines in the next month or so, but because there isn't actually a revision along with it we don't get the £600?

Then in November we are having a NON walk sequenced revision (because we'll already have WSM's by then) so we get £200 for that? When do we get the other £800 then? Or does the revision count as a WS revision? It's all suddenly a bit vague when it was supposed to be clear.

Got it in one chuck! Promises they say are made to be broken--and R/M sure do that! Hope this board is still up and running three years from now,so we can see how many promises are kept!!! Or how many excuses are made for not keeping them! i'e. due to unforseen circumstances ,the revision in this office will be put back to 2022!

You should be having both types of revision in one by the sounds of it. Are you getting delivery methods in Nov? The WS revision also brings in the 39 hour week, WS and 39 hour week are included in one and the same revision for D.O's that will have WS mail.

If delivery methods is not happening in NOV then when that happens that will be the NON seqeunced revision.


RML mangement in your D.O/area are either trying it on because they are evil w*****s or they are are genuinley incompetent. Write direct to Bob Gibson and Dave Ward if you have to to get this sorted. Whatever you do dont just sit back and take it and let RML walk all over your D.O!!!!

Everyone gets the 1,000 (pro rata for those who are PT) and that includes D.O's/SPDO's that are not having sequenced mail.

Yes Page 13 of the 2010 agreement

The operational transformation aspects of this agreement cover a 3 year period and will be jointly reviewed in April 2013.

34 Months actually at the very very worst.

I'm not really one to listen to rumours but talk i nour office is Feb next year, mean while we've had no walk revisions, and more "non addressed mail", park and loop with trolleys is pie in the sky.

February is quite soon within a 3 year time-scale.

Thats the reason for CDVs with Trolleys and Trolleys/Prams without. To be fair, leaving aside whether its a good idea or not, such a large and wide sweeping change across the whole of Royal Mail was always going to take a long time.

Thanks for the reply. We will have WSM's up and running within the next month, but the walks are staying the same for now. I'm unsure about the 39hr week, whether that is coming in with the WSM's or not.

Around November (possibly earlier) we are having a full revision when CDV's will be introduced, obviously all walks will change and a full repick happen.


Assuming everything does happen in that order can you confirm which parts of the £1000 we should be receiving and when please? As I certainly won't sit back and forget the money, and neither will the others in my office - we just need to know 100% what exactly we're entitled to and when as i'm not sure the rep has much of a clue.

I would say you should be intoducing the 39 hour week (AS PER NATIONAL AGREEMENT) as well as delivery methods and get the 600 follwed by 200 no later than 6 weeks after going live. As you will have WS mail the revsion will be based on the new mail arrival set up, its impossible for your revision not to be a WS revision, That still leaves £200 for a non WS revison to obtain somehow. That could be by finetuning 12 months later.

Just found out today that our sequenced mail revision comes in on the 26th of this month, so that'll be a nice 600 quid quick fix to sweeten the path to park & loop slavery.

Yip--although I've no doubt thet will give one or two offices the payment, just to keep hope alive in the others It's a game they play. all through the years the same has happened with other bonus related schemes, pay some and not the others, then scrap the whole thing! To quote from 2010

Lump sums
The £1000 lump sum (pro rata for part time employees) will be paid in two phases.

Phase 1 is a lump sum of £400 to be paid when the Mail Centre is successfully deploying walk sequencing letter mail to the transformation plan for 50% of the Delivery Offices within its catchment area.

The remaining £600 will be paid on the same basis when the Mail Centre is walk sequencing mail for 100% of its Delivery Units.
