what happened in our office was that the closest walk to the ofice became vacant, came up for sigining but part of the 318 on it as we all agreed stated clearly that in event of abscence then duty holder would be moved to cover a further away duty and his duty would always be the one lapsed, so when he signed for the duty he knew what he was getting

Part of the P&M agreement abuse, well documented on here, the rep should of stopped this before it started.
Our screw asked us what the easiest walk in the office was (for absorption/lapsing) we told him to f**k off.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

:arrrghhh :arrrghhh
Yeah, there's two like that on my section, they are part-time like me, but sometimes they come in before the full timers (one of the full timers tells me when they do). Unbelievable.

Extended Summer Lapsing

Post by A Broken Man »

Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought that summer lapsing was supposed to be when time permitted . In our office our lapsing has been continued despite the fact that staff are either knocking it back due to lack of time or doing it and booking extended delivery and on more than one occasion mail has been left in the office by the DIM unsorted due to lack of time !

Already being discussed...

We lapse daily, without fail, whatever the traffic  It's just not called summer savings any more, it's Phase3 lapsing or something

In our office, you first do your lapsing, and, if you are going to cut off, you cut off on your own job, meaning people don't get their post, but called carried over by management. Is this legal.

Its supposed to be assessed in our office on a daily basis but our dickhead bullying bastard of an inspector tries to force us to do it daily.

In our office our job is threatened to us on a daily basis by this dickhead, and if ever you cant complete lapsing your supposed to let your line manager know, which is always met by a confrontation and eventual argument..............Where surprise surprise our job is threatened again.

He was probably bullied at school as a kid,w****r.
