Seen as Billy Hayes has forgotten about us and doesn't give a flying feck what we are going through on a daily basis it would have to be Crow.

What bugs me about Hayes is that he doesn't listen to the members he represents,he doesn't even listen to the reps FFS.

Instead he sits on his big fat wallet in his ivory tower throwing us peasants scraps of meat .

When was the last time Hayes done a duty, hes out of touch with the members now and hasn't a clue what were going through.

Since this shite agreement was corruptly agreed our T&C have gotten a lot worse,do you ever get that feeling were on our own now.

I really hope this agreement he thought was great because he got 1hr taken off our working week and D2DS into out workload cos Bills been trying for this one since 1995 goes tits up.

So come on then. Who do you think fits the bill? :hmmmm
Is there a current, senior Union man, who you believe is worthy?
If so, who is it, and which Union does he represent? :hmmmm

He may be upset because he's not a duffel coat wearing stereotype. Though to be fair that was originally TMans "thing" http://www.royalmailchat.co.uk/communit ... el#p121429" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; though NT did get some mileage from it :chuckle :chuckle :chuckle :chuckle :chuckle :chuckle

I know Bob and I obviously know Billy. They are two different chacters , both have been involved at the coal face in the past and Billy was certainly a hard left activist in Liverpool and led many a strike and there is still some video action of the Dras dispute in Liverpool police horse charging the picket lines at Liverpool with Billy leading the pickets.

Now the question I have for you is that Bob is a great speaker and a very funny indivdual and great company but in the RMT he has just as many critics some call him not left enough and certainly some of the left in the RMT tried to get indivduals to run against him. Billy Laws and Pat Swatoka were very strong a few years ago on the left.

Now what Bob is very good at is his threatening of the use of industial action and then more often then not doing the deal. Now this has made him unpopular in some quarters of the RMT as they wanted to take the strike action rather than the deal.

So whilst it may be easy to vote for BOB and dont get me wrong he is a good leader he too has his critics in the RMT , just as much as Billy has in the CWU.

I just have an image of Billy thinking " Is it lunchtime yet? I could eat a horse. "

It's a thankless task union leadership (apart from the money :chuckle).
The members want fighting talk every time you appear in public but the media are just waiting to label you a 1970s dinosaur.
I don't think Billy's personality suits the media circus...how important that is could be argued all night.
For this poll to make any sense it would have been better to choose someone who could actually replace Billy....now you're struggling. :chuckle
good times, bad times you know I've had my share

But is it leadership?

The Queen is the titular head of the nation but has absolutely no power whatsoever with regards to national policy. Many would ask if there was no Royal Family would the nation be better off and if there was no Billy would the union be worse off or are they both an unnecessary luxury in these austere times.
