Time to get rid of them and get Bob Crow in as leader, someone with balls & a backbone. Am losing mininum of £30 p/w - £120 p/m - £1440 per/annum.. Now with Privatisation i ain't gonna see next years payrise or the magical figure of 3.5% in 2012, Phantom Shares are gonna be worth about the same as a roll of Andrex and have the same use. All these years of bursting my balls being lied too that am a valuable member of RM and with our help can drive RM onwards only to be shat on from above.
I don't wish to insult you and please don't take this the wrong way ........................but if you believed that croc of shyte you will believe anything.
Of course i didn't believe it every letter saying so from Leighton & Crozier went straight in the bin.. My only importance to them is to keep bursting my balls so the Big Cheese's can get their overly inflated BONUSES.
Oh and another thought RM can save £20.60 of off every employee who doesn't even touch, see or deliver D2D's - i wonder what that weekly figure is ??? split the pot with F/T & P/T staff who do do them and give us all £15 each.
When have RM ever stuck to a agreement, everytime RM agree a deal the backtrack on the deal. It happens with every deal. I only hope people working in RM realise that more strikes are going to follow so.......START SAVING.

Good thinking, I'll put my D2D money into a fighting fund

sad as it may be but i'm on hols this week but getting reports that deliveries and mail centres are all going belly up with the cut backs now impacting on the levels of staff. is this just in my area ort across the country?
Oh Cmon financial mess my arse - 20+ years iv been in this game and mail per delivery person keeps going up and up and up and in my office alone the past two weeks worth of mail could of paid the pension defecit.
Plus RM are getting all monies from D2D, i remember a frank conversation with a manager a year ago when he said if RM got paid for D2D and didnt pay out for them they could run our D.O without mail as it generated more than our budget.
It does make you wonder if we are being given the true figures. Mail is falling, but it is not evident on delivery in volume, so it must be the revenue is falling. Stop paying for D2D and an immediate increase in revenue, get the pension deficit sorted and you have yet another 280million pa increase in profit, cut the staff by another 24000 and you have another increase in profit...........................so all in all someone would potentially pick up a profitable organisation BEFORE they start their own cull and modernisation.

Why not save a few of the posties out of that 24,000 figure and get rid of a good few managers, roughly £35k a year for hiding away in their office, drinking coffee's letting the DIMs do all the running around, taking the flak whilst they can't be seen... Am sure my manager hibernates for most of the week only to be seen heading home earlier. Shame we Posties all need to work to our times now!
DVB- I am pretty certain we aren't being given true or accurate figures. I accept there is a lot less mail with M/1st and 2nd and in the corner, but the overall volumes aren't massively different. And thats before you factor double the amount of d2d's we are delivering weekly now at no extra cost to RM. But then as we probably all know, figures and statistics are purely tools used to prove something you have already decided on at best, or at worst often just guessed or even completely made up. And that is something this government, the previous government and most likely the next government will keep on doing. They just love their stats and figures. Of course the devil is in the detail. It is so frustrating to see and hear all the reports from Hooper about how mail volumes are falling, and then they quietly add about facing increasing competition. What competition? True competition would be for a company to set up a rival delivery network for all forms of mail/ packets etc. countrywide.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been. My BFF Clash The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
