Re: The "How was your day" thread.
Horrible day.
Heavy.
Lots of parcels.
A bit of rain about, but nothing I couldn't handle. The worst of it was when I came to a house (on overtime) and missed a "hidden" step leading down to the door. I went flying on my ankle and feared that I might have done some serious damage once I overcame the initial numb sensation of my fall. Fortunately, I was able to brush myself off and get back up with no more than a slight limp, but it sent my heart skipping. Had I broken or seriously injured something, I wouldn't have even known what to do. No managers in the DO, have never been introduced to any kind of protocols regarding injuries at work. As usual with RM I'd have been stranded and alone.
Thankfully, it didn't come to that. I'm a little bit sore but 97% fit.

Thinking of changing my name to Rob McKenna - three days of solid rain - and it got worse every day as I grabbed one row of overtime every day (plus one hour's prepping today - us p/t guys must take when available I guess) - still ... day off tomorrow - and I ain't working it !
(and if you don't know who Rob McKenna is ... check out http://www.spiritus-temporis.com/minor- ... kenna.html
