There are plenty of people of 'British' descent who's grammar and spelling isn't perfect.
And the OP could be a overseas student - we get many of those at my MC at Xmas.

And the answer to his question, is that Xmas Casual jobs used to be on the RM website in the first week of October,

And what about people who've recently immigrated (last couple of years or so), then you can't expect their English to be a good as their original (first) language. But that doesn't mean that they don't deserve to be here. It takes time to learn lanuages.

Lets face it many people born and bred in Britain can't speak English!

Exactly! Some of my collegues weren't born in Britain, but have lived here most of their lives. And they speak Engish as well as the rest of us (in fact, better than some!). And one in particular, speaks perfect English. He uses better grammar, than anyone else I know.
