Annex C
Transformation Lump Sum Payments and Shorter Working Week
Delivery
Applicable to all Delivery Units including SPDO’s.
Lump Sums
The payment of £1,000 (pro rata for part time employees) consisting of 3 lump sums will be paid as follows.
£200 will be paid to everyone in the delivery unit on deployment of their first non walk sequencing revision.
£600 will be paid to everyone in the delivery unit on deployment of the walk sequencing revision.
£200 will be paid to everyone in the delivery unit when the Walk Sequencing revision has been implemented, and objectives achieved in line with the local agreement and no later than the end of the 6 week bedding in period.
SPDOs
All SPDOs will receive the £600 and £200 payments in line with their parent delivery unit.
Shorter Working Week
To be implemented in all Delivery Units in line with the Walk Sequencing revision.
Processing Lump sums
The £1000 lump sum (pro rata for part time employees) will be paid in two phases.
Phase 1 is a lump sum of £400 to be paid when the Mail Centre is successfully deploying walk sequencing letter mail to the transformation plan for 50% of the Delivery Offices within its catchment area.
Business Transformation 2010 and Beyond
The remaining £600 will be paid on the same basis when the Mail Centre is walk sequencing mail for 100% of its Delivery Units.
Shorter Working Week
The one hour reduction will be implemented in two phases. There will be a reduction of 30 minutes or credit given (either aggregated to provide additional leave or taken as scheduled attendance by employee choice) when the Mail Centre is walk sequencing mail for 50% of its catchment area. The final 30 minute reduction will be implemented (along with the phase one 30 minutes if not already deployed) when the Mail Centre is walk sequencing mail for 100% of its Delivery Units.

Re: Shorter Working Week 39 hours
Know how you feel, sympathy brother. You get a lot of s**t for a long time before you even get a sniff of union support if at all. Dirty tricks ,victimisation, harassment and even your decent union workmates are by and large too frightened and cowed to back you up. Still nice to see the new culture of mutual respect and cooperation is alive and flourishingspoodoo wrote:theres only 2 guys incl me who stick up for ourselves and tell em were leaving mail , its like youve commited a murder if you tell em that ! Re: Shorter Working Week 39 hours
Belial, you are on your own mate, there is no difference between those who run the unions and those who run the country and the large businesses. They are out to drain the last fluid ounce of blood from the working man. I have long given up supporting colleagues who have not got the courage or conviction to make a difference to this society, and now the whole of my body and strength is used to look after number one and fight number ones cause. Might sound selfish but after years of trying to help and support other work colleagues, and getting back no support in return, and seeing the way the capatalist society is decimating what was once a great country with community spirit, I think that no 1 deserves some time.

Re: Shorter Working Week 39 hours
The same in our office, even the other posties just think your taking the piss and make comments to the boss. They don't want you to cause disruption cause it may danger their easy rounds. In a way the job and finish part of the business can be a bad thing (not that I want rid of it) cause it does give a every man/woman for themselves attitude. Especially in our office, as long as some of the lads can get their rounds done in a good time and are relatively easy they dont give a s**t for the others who struggle with theirs and constantly work to their time or more often over.spoodoo wrote:theres only 2 guys incl me who stick up for ourselves and tell em were leaving mail , its like youve commited a murder if you tell em that ! 39 hour week needs revision, some offices will no doubt have WS mail before a revision takes place. That is ideal as changes can be planned on reality and not educated guess.

Does that reality include continued use of private cars;coming in early-unpaid;unsecure bag drops;stepping ; missing meal reliefs; unpaid OT; abuse of flexibility ;etc.etc.???Big Daz wrote:woofwoof wrote:so for the mail centre to sequence the mail didnt the delivery office have a sequencing revision imposed when the mail centre started sequencingBig Daz wrote:woofwoof wrote:so how come the mail centres are onit
