It depends what people are complaining about, if it's some petty twat then i'll stand and argue back, and i'm usually far better at it than them. When they ask for my number I say I haven't got one, when they ask for the managers telephone number I tell them to look in the phone book.

If anyone shouts 'oi' or anything except 'excuse me' I ignore them and just keep walking.

Same here. I've had people whistle before now, like they were calling a dog. I didn't bother turning around.

Me too, I go deaf if people shout or whistle at me. If they speak to me politely I will respond politely.
