It's true, Amazon are going to start using Tracked. I think it starts tonight, don't know how much (if any) of their 1C and 2C stuff they are going to move over to Tracked. My guess is that there will be at least 1 RSC for each MC, if they are going to send all their 1C and 2C then there could be anywhere from 6 to 12 RSCs per MC.

Anyone know if they will switch lower value stuff that they send out currently via SD over to the Tracked Next Day service when that service commences?

heard, track and trace for amazon, stating this friday 10th sept, of course us drivers have all them time in the world to deliver extra packets, it will be a doddle!!! no need to put extra hours in, just do the jopb properley and go home, simples!!!

I ordered from Amazon (and not one of their other listed sellers) last week thinking it would be Royal Mail delivering so if I wasnt in at least i would be able to collect it at the Post Office. Came home today from delivering and there was a card through the door but it wasn't from Royal Mail, it was Home Delivery Network so now I have to wait till the middle of next week to get item now redelivered.

I have found that, generally, if you buy one book from Amazon it is sent using RM. If you buy 4 books then it sent using another courier. Solution Just buy one book using super saver then go back on next day and buy another book and then do it again and again until you have bought all the books you want. They should all be shipped out using RM

I've found different alas with free postage - multiple items (electronics, books etc) shipped by HDNL, got a single book today, DSA. Rarely get 2C packets from them, can't remember the last one now.

HDNL do one hell of a better service for the customer, tracked the whole way. With us you're guessing blind when it is going to show up.

We've not seen RSCs of amazon packets for a while now, we tend to get them in cardboard sleeves (with bases no less!)

BT Tracked is a very hot account and we bent over backwards for them,it's well documented on the site the s**t we had with them.
We took no notice at our place when we were told we could door step them,of course it wasn't called door stepping though was it,the safe place bollox.
We were also told to knock on neighbours doors to get rid of them,we told them bollox again as we do ours from 7am,feck getting abuse from their neighbours for that s**t.

A different picture than the one hooper paints, especially if you add on increased revenue from DTD.

Prior to this week, BT right first time had the customers telephone number to call incase no delivery/call could be made that day. The 10 door either side is down to delivery persons preference, as was the doorstep dump and run. The real deal was call and no answer, fail on the pda do not p739 ruturn to office. Manager to then ring customer to arrange another delivery that same day. If no luck, the item then had to go back out the following morning. A load of bollox....but that was last week...this week is one call p739 and jobs a good un. As for Amazon Tracked, DNR to stay as cheaper confirmed delivery but Phasing out. Specials will stay. Tracked are already being rolled out. Hope that helps.

will to day at are office the driver was brief not to ring any number on the track item as it deemed to be anti-competitive i belive some postmen have been going that extra mile and ring the customer.
