Can any of the CWU brothers or sisters confirm that an apparent agreement has been reached between the two companies for all of Amazon's items (parcels/packets) to be despatched via the track and trace system (some 14.6 million items a year). Have heard the process of track and trace will apply as from Friday 10th September 2010.

It 'may' be the specials going to tracked,there is a new 1 day tracked service it may be going to that,if it's 'everything' we are well and truly fecked.

I don't know about that but i do know that a complaint was made to Postcomm about BT's preferential treatment with regards to the track&trace service and that from now on BT tracks are to be treated like any other tracked item.i.e. none of this 5 doors either side/phone number on the item bollox.(not that i ever did anyway)

Any more info on that BT bit. Would love to be able to tell management about it. It is a right pain in the ass trying to deliver them. Been told we cannot bring them back at all. 10 doors either side then call mgr if unable to deliver. Not allowed to scan as not delivered either, so hope it is true.

We have not been told about 5 or 10 doors either side. We either leave them with the customer, in the safeplace as directed on the BT tracked or we bring back.

It came from RM and was relayed at a brief on tuesday.
All managers should have it by now.

BT Tracked is a very hot account and we bent over backwards for them,it's well documented on the site the s**t we had with them.
We took no notice at our place when we were told we could door step them,of course it wasn't called door stepping though was it,the safe place bollox.
We were also told to knock on neighbours doors to get rid of them,we told them bollox again as we do ours from 7am,feck getting abuse from their neighbours for that s**t.

Thats good news. We have even been told to throw them over fences of dissused houses just so that they dont fail. They even make us sign for ours before we take them out. Change of subject a bit. Has any one else had these tracked letters yet? Complete pain as they must go through PDA. As if we dont have enough to do.

No. These are real letters. Had A4 size today. The other week a few of the drivers had payslip size. Completely flat. Only thing that could of been inside was paper. Definately not packets. Did not think to look to see who they from.

Not allowed to and most of them refuse anyway, apart from the decent ones. Most of the time you get yes but only if you take this out. Which defeats the object. PS been told we now wont P&L until next year (when all have to take them). Should of been in about 8 months ago. Walks been revised, no repick yet & no vans. Thats another sore point. New walks are now supposed to be designed specifically for P&L. Not ours. Planner picked a round, puts it in comp which spits out x ammount of time. Just added streets & houses until it reached 4hr 30min. Same for the one next to it. Hey presto two P&L walks. Looks like union are going to sign it all off as well. Still no sign of any of the £1000 though. Had a bad day so trying not too rant too much. Hence adding subjects which have some relevance. Sorry. PPS Got given another 9am SD at 9.26, got there at 10.20. Told to put it on card as we might get away with it!
