Got blown round today thanks to Hurricane Bernard - or whatever it's called up here ... few packets, but some interesting balancing acts with D2Ds in the gales ...

Strangely, I only got 2 walk sequenced boxes today instead of the usual 3. :hmmmm However, RM made up for it with loads of flats. Heavy holiday brochure types, so that was ok then.

Heaviest Monday in months...bye bye "Summer lull"! Much higher flat to letter ratio than normal, Saga magazines by far the worst. Each pack contained 3 magazines and for some annoying reason some houses got 2 each...that's six hefty magazines for one address! I honestly reckon that each pack weighed at least half a kilo each. Strangely, i managed to get rid of all of my parcels, something that happens once in a blue moon.

Finished about 1:00pm, life isn't too bad when you're on an easy walk! :Very Happy

I've had two easy days on the bounce which means one of the next two days will be terrible whilst the other will be godawful.

Today was a complete f**k up. I did'nt go out on delivery even though I'm on a commercial because there were no vans. I started off with a van but got it taken off me so someone else could use it. The firms were all ringing up asking where their mail was. Mine was'nt the only duty to stay behind either. The management should all be sacked as this is no way to run a company :no no
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

Had a bastard of a day, over 90% call rate, knackered when I got home. Doing my first bag I got threatened by some retard, I had stopped delivering his mail because his dog kept going for me in the street. Then one day because he had to go down to collect his giro himself he threatened to set the dog on me and ended up shouting "F*ck you" over and over as I walked away. Today he went off on one, saying it was personal as his dog isn't out any more. When I said hia mail didn't get delivered because I'm not there to be sworn at he started coming out of his garden saying "drop that bag off your shoulder and let's sort it out right now." I said "Well that's not going to get you your mail delivered is it?" He then said it was all my fault, the dog didn't bite, it never went for me and anyway he'd seen me goading it. What a prick. :arrrghhh

Pretty bad day. Got in and found they'd tacked on a second packet bag to my already full first one. The second was thankfully only halfway to three quarters full. Mail wise it wasn't atrocious but it was reasonably bad. Still managed to finish my last at half 1 which isn't too bad, though I had to walk back and deliver a few missorts afterwards. D2ds are almost done which seems wrong as I've been trying to do a sixth a day. Must have estimated wrong, or else they've given me too few.

About 5 hrs to do my own walk, plus lapsing. The lapsing itself took about 40 mins, plus a ride back to the TSO where I usually drop my packets and stuff off. (Half day closing at the one nearest the lapse) Took me about 10 minutes to just get to it in the first place. Cannot understand why lapsing is not done near the office all the time. Can't wait to see the DOMs face in the morning when he sees the docket. :left: Absolutely shattered at the end.

I'd have hit him there and then (without putting the bag down because I have to safeguard the mail  ) the last time someone tried that on they both ended up backing off because I was really up for a fight.

ps. I'm by no means the worst in my office, which is why we don't get too much hassle from the general public.

Mate you should jump on this big time. Report this to your manager and ask that the police become involved as you have been threatened. They will take a statement from you and go around to see him. With had this at our office and its the only way to nail it. The knobs forget we know where they live before they start giving it some. :d'oh!
