MAIL deliveries in Sheffield were disrupted yesterday after it was reported that part of the roof of the Pond Street delivery office fell in after heavy overnight rain.
A spokesperson for Royal Mail said: "We apologise to customers whose mail has been delayed and will be doing everything possible to get services back to normal."

Deliveries were disrupted in the S1, S3, S4, S5, S6, S7, S8, S9, S10, S11, S12, S13,S17 and S35 areas.

The spokesperson added: "Heavy rainfall overnight caused a structural problem at Sheffield City Delivery Office which disrupted our delivery operation.

"However, the damaged area has been sealed off and the building will be in operation on Wednesday night."

The new bags look even worse but I haven't had them in the rain yet :nervous

The roof in my office had more freaking holes than a Tetley tea bag ffs, trays are used to catch the rain
