You SERIOUSLY think they are going to tell us mere minons who work on the "shop floor"

We'll know WELL after the event
And after a while, you can work on points for style,
Like the club tie, and the firm handshake,
A certain look in the eye and an easy smile.

You have to be trusted by the people that you lie to,
So that when they turn their backs on you,
You'll get the chance to put the knife in.

They were supposed to tell us what they are proposing in London on 3rd September.
But it's been now been ostponed until 17th September at earliest.
Surely they have drawn up their plans already. Why can't they tell us?

There was a new rumour going round Mount Pleasant last night that RM have extended the lease on the Bow Locks (East London) MC site for another 10 years, and that this indicates that it will be Mount Pleasant and Nine Elms that will be closed.
Anyone from East London MC heard anything?

Baldrick it is just another rummour and I doubt there is much truth in this at all. The reason being is that Royal Mail already have a lease on the East London Mail Centre until 2022 in any case .

Remember the key to Royal Mail`s London plan is the selling off of their most prime real estate and that is Rathbone Place just off Oxford Street. They can only do that if the Mount remains open.

Thanks for that dingo. That rumour must have started because someone heard that the ELMC lease is until 2022 then
As we are not being told anything there are lots of rumours going around.
Hopefully we will be told what is proposed soon.

I would have thought that the Mount Pleasant site would be prime real estate too though.

I think your find West End Prices are much higher than city of London prices. But thats not to say that the sheer size of the Mount Site if sold would not bring in a few bob.

The decisions that will be made about the inner London MCs will also be affected by what happens to the outer ones. Whilst both Jubilee and Greenford are safe for now due to their size, can both be maintained long term bearing in mind how close they are to each other? Then there is Croydon and Romford, how safe are they with Gatwick and SEAMAC close to them? If Bow closes would the traffic move to Romford and also if Nine Elms closes would the traffic go to Croydon and the Mount? Difficult to see Mount Pleasant closing due to it's size and there will be additional space when the International traffic moves to HWDC.

Yes, I've heard that crap! :evil/mad But the fact is, that although RM are only concerned with the most profitable customers. Most of us are more concerned about customers in general, regardless of whether they post 1 letter a year, or send several lorry loads a day. :hmmmm
Don't knock Insanity
it's just another outlook on Reality!
