My office has had six different DOMs in five years, Five of them having had several months off sick due to "STRESS", before just being moved on to another office, and so the cycle repeats itself !!
Why doesn't RM realise that these people are not fit for the job and just pass the prob on to another office ?
Lord give me strength, I can't believe this complete shambles of a job.
Maybe??????? just maybe.....think about this...........

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: WHO ?
The problem is (middle) management is a thankless task, up above want to lose more and more walks and increase productivity whilst trying to balance popularity with staff. Does any one know a long serving manager who isnt ruthless and harsh

To the naughty room, POSTMAN.
anyway, moving on;
Yes, you get paid a bit more but the cost of living is higher and maybe you've been more successful at resisting change up until now but given the choice of delivering on the mean streets of the big city or the rolling countryside and leafy avenues I'm happy to stick with what I've got, thanks. Different strokes for different folks, I guess.

I'm not really sure that anyone's looking for London to get stiffed. During the dispute RM tried to drive a wedge between London and the rest of the country. Can't say I really bought into it.I get the feeling that you would cream yourself if London got screwed.
