Actually i did know that Brian Connelly had died but I didn't know about Mick Tucker - sad they both went so young.

Saw Sweet live in Great Yarmouth some time in the 70's - My then girlfriend liked them - I only (begrudingly) went along because I heard they did a WHO medley in the middle of their act -actually enjoyed the whole show in the end

A former postmistress has become a prostitute operating out of her old village shop.

Sheila Newcombe, 54, ran the post office in the quiet community until it shut two years ago after rural cutbacks.

But the mum-of-one is now using the property to provide £100-an-hour sex services. Advertising on an explicit website under the name of Emily, she writes: “I enjoy pleasing men and find it a great turn-on. I offer an experience which can be wild and adventurous. I adore seduction.”

The revelations have stunned Yeoford in Devon, which has a population of just 500.

One villager said: “Sheila ran the post office for years so everyone knows her. It’s shocking to think what’s going on in what used to be the post office. It’s disgusting.” Sheila, who charges £50 for 30 minutes, refused to comment on her new work yesterday.

She said: “I did run the post office here at one time.

“When it closed I was left with mounting debts and a mortgage to pay. There are all sorts of rumours around the village about what I do.”
