Questions for Weekly Resource Meetings ?

Post by islfor »

I am sick and tired of wasting my time during Weekly Resource Meetings when nothing gets done afterwards.
Does anyone else feel that they are taken the piss ? I no longer engage in any meaningful dialogue with management over any future implementation on the current agreement. They have not yet fully honoured the new D2D agreement !!!
Postmen in our office are left to do whatever they want with D2D, some even have them left in delivery slots after going out.
Surely its part of live mail now and its wilful if deliberately left in frame.

Any questions that I can use tomorrow morning during WRM with Ass.Dim........?

No it is not wilful delay leaving d2d in frame slots, you have 6 days to do your d2d if they have not been all delivered at the end of the 6 days then wilful delay may come into play.
Strange Rep that promotes colleagues been done for wilful delay when totally not necessary,RM have plenty of tricks to catch members out with that one don't give them more ammo.

many d2d are just placed in white sacks, waiting to be cremated.
Nobody has a clue about start times, 39 hour weeks, using private cars.
Why are management not communicating.

We have been promised re-investment to help ease the problem of heavy deliveries in our office after 11 years of telling them so......even the mythical horse (pegasus) says deliveries are well over.
Most days loads of cut-offs and pressure overtime sky high, already office of 35 deliveries overspent 80k !!!
What we want is a true reflection on deliveries which includes mail integrity, road traffic regulation, full meal break, no coming in early and D2D done as Agreement says : 1/6 per day cold calling and all.
Which eventually will give us a rough estimate how long deliveries are !!!

Don't do local agreements, it breaks up the union. Best keep to the national agreement.
• Whilst this may involve cold calling at some address points for which there are no other items it is the best approach overall as it is easy to understand, communicate and monitor.

There is another paragraph that states postman will be responsible for the delivery of d2d and that they can manage them as they please as long as they are done in the 6 day time frame.
The 1/6 a day is only a guidline it is not a rule set in stone, as I say unless something new has come out since that I am not aware of.
So if no local agreements have been signed your members are doing nothing wrong by not doing 1/6 a day cold calling and all.

1/6th a day by prepping more than 1/6th a day and taking where you are going should not be a problem. RML told us that DTD hold more prestige by being delivered with mail did they not? RML want more DTD custom do they not?

I work on 2010 words that you can mange the delivery of DTD youself on the proviso they all are done correctly by last stop Saturday.

National Agreement that!!!!

I honestly don't see what is to be gained from that....apart from trying to appease members who are trying to make time.
I am not arguing about the agreement...it is vague enough to allow almost anything ,i'm just wondering why a rep would argue for it.
Represent the members wishes fine...go along with what they want...fine...but argue for it.

If I were sick then I would inform the manager over the phone what needs to be done. I have the DTD at the back of the mail for the delivery point so I know when out there the next day where to deliver DTD to.

Come Saturday cold calling is back on the agenda, otherwise DTD would be delayed to the next week.

We have carried on as before with DTD at my D.O, most if not all do them all by Friday I do 1/6th on a Saturday.

Im not arguing for any system some times I do 1/6th a day no ifs no buts sometimes I cold call and take where Im going.

Rare to get 4 items and rare for 4 items to be the majority of dels its usually the minority of dels.

Nobody has had 5 yet. Im still getting 3 most weeks but sometimes 2 sets.

When we progress with revison duties wil be planned on 1/6th a day cold calling.

Offically DTD is in workload in reality that only comes with revsision.

The revision is the reset button, not the houcus pocus of the supplement.
