TNT Post announced on Wednesday that the cost of a stamp will increase by 2 cents from 2011.
A stamp for a letter or postcard up to 20 grams in the Netherlands will rise from 44 to 46 cents and in Europe from 77 to 79 cents.
Stamps will no longer show the price but will be printed with a 1 for the Netherlands and a 2 for Europe.

A first weight step of 20g, as against 100g here, should mean that Dutch post(wo)men don't get weighed down as much as us - one thing they do better thabn us perhaps.
